Nightwish Live at Wacken Open Air 2013

Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Kitee, Finland. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. In 2001 Marko Hietala joined to Nightwish as a vocalist and a bass player. In 2012 Anette Olzon (2007-2012) was replaced by Floor Jansen as lead vocals (2012–present).

Visually and sonically, Live at Wacken Open Air 2013 represents Nightwish at full scale: symphonic arrangements, dramatic dynamics, and a production that emphasizes both musical precision and raw emotional power. The performance is often cited as one of the finest live recordings in modern metal, showcasing how complex, orchestral music can thrive on one of the world’s biggest metal stages.

For fans of live metal performances, female-fronted symphonic metal, and epic concert recordings, this Nightwish live set remains an essential listen — a moment where artistry, atmosphere, and audience converge into something unforgettable.
