Ozzy Osbourne


John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in heavy metal. He rose to prominence in the 1970s as the lead vocalist of Black Sabbath, where his haunting vocals and unconventional stage presence helped define the genre’s sound. During this era, he earned the iconic nickname “Prince of Darkness.”
After parting ways with Black Sabbath in 1979 due to struggles with alcohol and drug abuse, Osbourne launched a groundbreaking solo career that solidified his status as a metal legend. He has released 12 studio albums, with the first seven achieving multi-platinum status in the United States, shaping decades of music and cultural influence.
