Small Faces

Small Faces were an English rock band from London, founded in 1965. The group originally consisted of Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy Winston, with Ian Mc Lagan replacing Winston as the band’s keyboardist in 1966. They quickly became one of the most acclaimed and influential mod bands of the 1960s, capturing the energy and attitude of London’s youth culture with sharp songwriting, soulful vocals, and tight musicianship.

Humble Pie was an English hard rock band formed in 1969 in Moreton, Essex, by singer and guitarist Steve Marriott, following his departure from Small Faces. From the beginning, the group stood out as one of the earliest supergroups of the late 1960s, bringing together experienced musicians with strong roots in rock, blues, and soul. Their sound blended raw hard rock energy with blues based grooves and soulful vocals, setting them apart from many of their contemporaries.
