Originally conceived as an acoustic project by Tuomas Holopainen, Angels Fall First evolved into a full band effort with the addition of Tarja Turunen’s classically trained soprano vocals and Emppu Vuorinen’s melodic guitar work. The result is a raw yet atmospheric blend of folk influences, power metal elements, and early symphonic textures, setting Nightwish apart from traditional metal bands of the time.
