  1. Motörhead was an English heavy metal band formed in 1975 by Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister. The band’s original line-up consisted of Lemmy (vocals, bass), Larry Wallis (guitar) and Lucas Fox (drums). Motörhead is considered a pioneer of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, and their blend of punk rock and heavy metal is often credited as a major influence on the development of thrash metal.

Motörhead released over 20 studio albums, and their most commercially successful album was “Ace of Spades” (1980), which reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and included the hit title track. Other notable albums include “Overkill” (1979) and “Bomber” (1979). The band has sold more than 15 million records worldwide.

Motörhead was known for its fast-paced, hard-driving sound and Lemmy’s distinctive gravelly voice. The band’s live performances were also known for their energy and intensity. Lemmy was the only constant member of the band throughout its history, and the band was active until Lemmy’s death in 2015. The band was acknowledged as one of the most important and influential bands in heavy metal genre.
