Its members were in bands such as  Carcass,  Armageddon,  Carnage,  Mercyful Fate,  Spiritual Beggars,  The Agonist,  Nevermore, and  Eucharist. It was founded by  Carcass guitarist  Michael Amott along with  Johan Liiva, who were both originally from the death metal band  Carnage.
