Baobhan Sith


Baobhan Sith is a mythical creature from Scottish folklore. It is said to be a type of fairy, specifically a female vampire fairy, that lives in the Scottish Highlands. Baobhan Sith is also known as the “White Women of the Scottish Highlands” due to its ghostly appearance.

According to legend, Baobhan Sith usually appears at night in the form of a beautiful young woman wearing a long, flowing green dress. She is said to be able to shape-shift into a deer or a bird at will. Her main prey is men, and she lures them into the woods with her beauty and charm before attacking and drinking their blood.

Legend has it that Baobhan Sith has sharp talons instead of feet, and can also transform into a bat to fly away after feeding. Some stories also suggest that she can only be killed with a wooden stake through the heart or by decapitation.
