Dave Mustaine and Ron Mc Govney were early members of Metallica, contributing to the band's original lineup in 1981. Although they did not record any albums with the group, their brief tenures had a lasting impact on the heavy metal scene. Mustaine later formed Megadeth, becoming a prominent figure in the genre, while Mc Govney stepped away from music entirely after his departure.
