Croatian is a South Slavic language spoken by over 5 million people, primarily in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and parts of neighboring countries. It is the official language of Croatia and one of the official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union. Croatian uses the Latin script and has a rich literary tradition dating back to the Middle Ages.
