Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, is a prominent figure in mythology, born from sea foam and associated with various symbols of love. Married to Hephaestus, she had numerous affairs, notably with Ares and Adonis. Worshiped across ancient Greece, her influence extended to Roman mythology as Venus, with significant cult centers in Cyprus, Athens, and Corinth.

Atargatis

Atargatis, an ancient goddess from Middle Eastern mythology, was primarily worshipped in Palmyra, Syria. Associated with fertility, water, and the moon, she is often depicted as a mermaid. Legends suggest she is the mother of Adonis, a fertility god. Atargatis's influence persists in modern culture, reflected in various artistic and literary representations throughout history.
