Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band formed in 1964, known for their influential Southern rock sound. They gained fame in the 1970s with hits like ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ and ‘Free Bird’. The band has experienced several lineup changes and tragedies, including the loss of several members in a plane crash in 1977.
