Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. The group was founded by drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield and originally featured guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist Ron McGovney.
Metallica are considered one of the most influential and successful heavy metal bands of all time and are known for their powerful and aggressive sound, as well as their catchy and anthemic songs. They have released a number of successful albums throughout their career, including “Kill ‘Em All,” “Ride the Lightning,” and “Master of Puppets,” and have had several hit singles, including “Enter Sandman,” “Nothing Else Matters,” and “One.”
Metallica have undergone several lineup changes over the years, with Hetfield and Ulrich remaining constant members of the band.
