‘Child of Damnation’ is the third single and videoclip taken from the new Whyzdom album ‘Of Wanders and Wars’, released on September 2021 by Scarlet Records.

“‘Child of Damnation’ is a song about war. Unfortunately, it seems to resonate in some way with recent events in Ukraine. The video takes you in the depths of a demonic castle and in the middle of a medieval war, instilled in the heart of men by devils and gods. Right after the battle there’s nothing left but death and despair over the land, and also one mournful remorse: Forgive us, Child, for the hatred in our hearts and our fratricidal wars. Forgive us now for the greed and the blindness. You are the last hope of Humankind.”

The video shows the contrast between war ruins scenes and an idyllic Olympean temple, surrounded by giant stone gods. The symbolic idea behind is how men wage war on themselves, then on the god they created on their own, until destruction of humanity as well as deities. It perfectly depicts the main idea of the album “Symphony For A Hopeless God”. Graphical elements of the album artwork and booklet can be found throughout the video.
