King of Thunder

From the peak of Olympus, I watch below,
Lightning in hand, the power I bestow,
Ruler of skies, storms at my call,
But even kings can feel shadows fall.

Brother of darkness, bound underground,
Blames me for chains that keep him bound,
He sees my throne, the praise, the light,
But not the burdens I bear each night.

I am Zeus, the sky’s crowned king,
Master of storms, thunder’s sting,
But power comes with a price to pay,
Glory and envy woven this way.

We split the world by fate’s decree,
He took the depths, I took the sea,
And the heavens where sunrays gleam,
Yet nothing is as it seems.

He curses my name, questions my might,
But never walked in this blinding light,
He knows the dark, the peace below,
I face the world, storms I must sow.

I am Zeus, the sky’s crowned king,
Master of storms, thunder’s sting,
But power comes with a price to pay,
Glory and envy woven this way.

I guard the living, time’s steady flow,
While he keeps what’s buried below,
I carry the sky, the weight of flame,
He sees my crown but not the pain.

I am Zeus, the sky’s crowned king,
Master of storms, thunder’s sting,
But power comes with a price to pay,
Glory and envy woven this way.

Brother in shadows, I see your plight,
Yet each of us fights our endless night,
Ruler of depths, keeper of rest,
I rule the storm, you rule the unrest.
